Klickitat County Courthouse in Goldendale, Washington

The Goldendale courthouse at 205 S Columbus Avenue is where you will find the Klickitat County Clerk's Office, the Superior Court courtroom, and the filing window for all new Superior Court cases.

The Klickitat County Document Request page explains two paths for public record access. The first is the Washington State Digital Archives. From the Digital Archives home page, go to Detailed Search. Under "Select a Collection," choose Superior Court Cases. Enter the case number with dashes (xx-x-xxxxx-xx). If unsure of the case number, search the Odyssey Portal first to find it. Then under Record Series, hover over "Klickitat County Superior Court Files, 2000-2023" and click. Non-certified documents download immediately after purchase. Certified documents will be mailed.

The second path is in-person at the Clerk's Office. Non-certified copies are $0.50 per page in person. Certified copies are $5.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page. If you need a certified copy for a legal proceeding, the in-person route may be faster than waiting for a mailed copy through Digital Archives.

TrueFiling Electronic Case Filing

Klickitat County Superior Court accepts electronic case filings through TrueFiling. There is a $5.00 convenience fee per filing bundle, not per document, when using TrueFiling. Filing fees that would apply in person still apply through TrueFiling as well. The county strongly suggests using the Odyssey Portal to monitor document availability after submission.

Some documents still require paper filing and cannot go through TrueFiling. Those include: Original Wills and Codicils, Certified Records of Proceedings for appeal, Aggravated Murder case documents, Original Bail Bonds, foreign adoption documents, ALR Petitions, in-camera review documents, Writs of Garnishment and Execution, negotiable instruments, Trial Exhibits, and documents for in-camera review. If you are unsure whether your document qualifies for TrueFiling, email clerksoffice@klickitatcounty.org or call (509) 773-5744 before submitting.
