The office will respond with the total cost. One critical rule to know: payment must be made no later than 3:00 p.m. on the same day the request is received. If payment is not received by that deadline, the submission is dismissed and must be restarted. Requests submitted after 3:00 p.m. are processed the following business day.
After you receive the cost notice, pay through the online payment portal at Point and Pay. Once payment is confirmed, email clerk@co.pacific.wa.us with proof of payment to receive your documents. Standard copies cost $0.50 per page. Emailed copies cost $0.25 per page. Certified copies of any individual court document cost $5.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page. Note that certified copies cannot be emailed; they must be mailed or picked up in person.
There are a few restrictions to keep in mind. The clerk cannot mail copies of documents to addresses outside the United States. If you are outside the country, you must mail a payment and an appropriately addressed envelope with correct postage. Also, a Certificate of Dissolution cannot be ordered through this office. After a divorce is finalized, the certificate is mailed directly to the Washington State Department of Health.
