The Thurston County Clerk's Office operates two locations. The Civil/Criminal division is at 2000 Lakeridge Dr SW, Olympia, WA 98502. Public terminals are available in lobbies at both locations for free document viewing from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. Effective July 27, 2025, fees related to filing, obtaining copies, and other Clerk's Office services changed. Check the current fee schedule on the Clerk's page before submitting a request.
Note about ex parte services: in-person Ex Parte services are suspended effective March 16, 2026, until further notice due to budget reductions. If you have an ex parte matter, contact the Clerk's Office for current alternatives before making a trip to the courthouse.

Search Thurston County Court Dockets Online
Thurston County Superior Court case and hearing information is searchable through the Washington Courts Odyssey Portal. Public case and hearing information is available at no cost. Users can search criminal, civil, and family law cases by title or case number. The results view for criminal cases includes attorneys, charges, calendars, and hearings. For civil cases, results show parties, attorneys, calendars, and hearings. One important limitation to know: Thurston County's Odyssey Portal cannot access Pierce or King County case information.
For document purchases from Thurston County Superior Court, most public documents are available through the Clerk Documents app. Search by cause number, preview the document, add it to your cart, and check out online. Documents not available through the app can be requested by emailing tcclerk@co.thurston.wa.us. The Clerk will calculate the cost and send a payment link. Hard copies of non-certified documents cost $0.50 per page. Electronic copies cost $0.25 per page. Certified copies cost $5.00 for the first page and $1.00 per additional page per document.
Associated public documents from the Odyssey Portal are not viewable over the internet for Thurston County. You must use the Odyssey Portal kiosks at the Clerk's Office to view documents linked to case entries. Public computers at both Clerk's Office locations allow document viewing without purchase.

Thurston County District Court Records
The Thurston County District Court is in Building 3 at 2000 Lakeridge Dr. SW, Olympia, WA 98502. In-person, phone, and LiveChat services are available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with closures during break and lunch periods. Five courtrooms (Courtrooms 1 through 5) have dedicated Zoom meeting codes for remote hearings.
All open District Court records can be accessed electronically at weblink.co.thurston.wa.us/DCCASES/. You need the case number and the three-character law enforcement agency code to search this system. Examples include WSP for Washington State Patrol, THC for Thurston County, and LYP for the city of Lacey. This electronic access tool is specific to District Court and does not show Superior Court cases.
To request District Court case records, complete the online records request form or submit the PDF form by mail to the District Court. Case records include case files, dockets, calendars, and orders, and access is governed by GR 31. Certified copies of District Court documents cost $5.00 per document. CDs of court proceedings cost $20.00 per CD. For administrative records, the first hour of research is free, then $30 per hour. Copies of administrative records cost $0.15 per page. District Court also sends text message reminders for upcoming court dates if you sign up through the court's request form.
Thurston County Municipal Court Changes
Olympia residents should be aware of an important change that took effect February 5, 2026. The Olympia municipal court transitioned its cases to the Thurston County District Court on that date. If you had a pending case in the Olympia municipal court before February 5, 2026, it may now be in the Thurston County District Court system. Contact the District Court at 2000 Lakeridge Dr. SW to confirm where your case now sits.
This transition affects how you search for Olympia court docket records. For cases filed before February 5, 2026, use the statewide Washington Courts DW Case Search to locate where the case file was transferred. For cases filed after that date, search the Thurston County District Court through the DW portal or the District Court's own weblink system. If you are unsure whether a case was transferred, calling the District Court at the number on the District Court page is the fastest way to confirm.
Thurston County District Court has also posted scam alerts. Do not respond to calls or texts demanding immediate payment to avoid warrants or jail. The court will never contact you this way. Verify any unexpected court contact through the official phone number on the county website.
